CANCELLATION POLICY for 2020

The safety and wellbeing of our guests is a top priority for Bassiviere and because changes are ongoing and unforeseeable due to COVID-19, we have implemented ajusted cancellation/modification policies to provide our guests with increased flexibility.

Only in case of a pandemic we ajust the cancellation policies !

Unfortunately, due to government measures to combat the corona virus, we have been forced to adjust our cancellation policy. Bassiviere is a financially solid company but cannot survive when prepayments for bookings for this summer are refunded. In line with many major travel companies and our industry peers, we have decided to convert cancellation deposits into registered vouchers, which can be used on new bookings later this year or in 2021.

Incidentally, in our terms and conditions we always emphasize the importance and usefulness of taking out good cancellation insurance. Upon inquiry, it appears that many insurers will also pay in the event of cancellation in this pandemic.

Here in France it is as yet assumed that in June public life will slowly take place and that we can welcome you in the summer holidays.

In the meantime, we are preparing the 2020 season so that all our guests can enjoy a wonderful holiday at Bassiviere this summer.

For a stay between April 1st, 2020 and prior to September 30th, 2020, guests may cancel their reservations due to Covid-19 only and receive a credit voucher for the full value of their prepayment for use within 18 months . CANCELLATION POLICY 2021

o   Cancellation policy: The 50% deposit will not be refunded in case of cancellation. We ask for the remaining payment no later than 4 weeks before arrival. If you cancel within 4 weeks before arrival, the entire amount of the stay will be invoiced. In case of Covid-19 you will receive a voucher

o We recommend that you take a cancellation insurance with your travel insurance. In the unlikely event that it is necessary, we can provide an invoice so that you can request a refund of the rental amount through your insurance.
